Panchagavya is one of the oldest documentations available for sustainable agriculture and wellbeing for human beings.

Panchagvaya is also called as panchakavyam in the southern part of India in different languages like Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malyalam.

 

Panchagavya for Agriculture

Panchagavya means the blend of 5 ingredients viz. cow’s milk, ghee, curd, cow urine and dung.

These ingredients are used in traditional agriculture to enhance the soil quality to grow rich organic vegetables and fruits.

Panchagavya organic farming booster consists of nine products viz. cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd, ghee, organic jiggery, banana, tender coconut and water. When appropriately mixed and used, these have miraculous effects in promoting plants growth.

These diyas are also called panchagavya vilakku which are used even today on Diwali and on the regular days to light in front of holy Tulsi plant.
